For those of you who have recently applied for and received a new US DOT number, you should be preparing for a DOT Safety Audit. The DOT, or someone representing the DOT, will be making contact with your company by phone or letter, as an attempt to schedule this audit. The Safety Audit is a shorter version of the full DOT Compliance Review, and unlike the Compliance Review, it has a Pass or Fail score. The DOT considers it to be an "Educational Audit", and a tool for them to verify that your company is starting off the right direction...in compliance with the fleet safety regulations for trucks over 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight rating and the people driving them.
Maybe your company has had your DOT number for awhile and you've already had the Safety Audit. You should make sure you're ready for the full DOT Compliance Review, in which case you will be given a Safety Rating of "Satisfactory", "Conditional", or "Unsatisfactory".
Don't leave it up to chance. We are the experts who can help you to achieve the "Satisfactory" rating you want and need to ensure the success of your company's objectives and profits. Let us help you prepare for a compliance review by conducting a Mock DOT Safety Audit or Mock DOT Compliance Review.
If you have already been given a safety rating of either "Conditional" or "Unsatisfactory", call us now to assist you in upgrading that rating to "Satisfactory". There are time constraints, so call today.
We also conduct a monthly DOT Compliance Seminar in various locations, designed to educate your staff in what is expected of your company as a motor carrier. Call or visit our website and click on "Seminars" for more detailed information.
