Safety On The Roadside

Everyone knows that being able to see where you are on the road, where you are going, and what is around you while driving is important to your safety.  What many people may fail to recognize as equal importance is the fact that in addition to you being able to see......You must also be seen by others.  It it extremely important for others to know that we are present and what our intentions are.  This is why we have brake lights, clearance lights, back-up lights, turn signals, horns, etc.

What about the times when we are on the side of the road.  Broken down due to a flat tire, engine malfunction, brake issues, or many other reasons.  Whatever the reason, can we be seen?  If so, can we be seen in time to avoid someone crashing into us?  I certainly hope so.  Far too many really nice people die because someone didn't see someone else in time to take necessary evasive action.

We have all seen the use of flares.  They have been used for decades, and have proven to be very dangerous.  This is why most companies have removed flares from their trucks and have issued the warning triangles we see so often on the roadside.  Though these triangles have served their purpose, they have not done so with a perfect record, having a negative impact on roadside safety.  The problem is that they don't always provide an early enough warning when there is fog present.  Also, many times the triangles are blown down by wind because of its design flaw.  Of course mentioning the triangle design as a flaw is only my professional opinion based on personal observation.

I have finally found the perfect solution, and as always, as a true fleet safety expert and transportation safety consultant, I bring the good news to you so you will have all the options while making a wise decision.

The new product is called The Triflector.  This brilliant safety device has a tri-fold design and a strobe light in one of many designs.  This product not only saves lives, but also may save millions of dollars as well.  Don't take my word for it; go to the link below and read more about it for yourself.

Thank me later for pointing it out to you.

Remember: for vehicles with a GVW of 10,001 pounds or more, and used in commerce, you must have three warning devices.  Go for the best.
